Family Stays: Where little legs can rove free.

The Rove is the kind of place where kids can run barefoot, toast marshmallows by the fire, & fall asleep to the sound of owls.

Let the kids run free and reconnect as a family. From treasure hunts in the woods to marshmallow roasting by the fire, every moment here is an opportunity to create lifelong memories. With plenty of family-friendly activities nearby, The Rove really is where the wild things are.

Whether you’re looking for a school holiday escape or a spontaneous weekend away, The Rove makes travelling with kids feel easy. Many of our yurts and cabins have a second bedroom with twin beds, and all can sleep up to six with extra mattresses — perfect for siblings, cousins or group family stays. If you're coming with another family, you can book side-by-side stays for a little village feel (without sharing your loo).

Inside, you’ll find everything you need: a proper kitchen for mealtimes, electric blankets on chilly nights, and even free tea and coffee for those early starts. Outside, there’s your own sun deck and fire pit, plus access to the wild swimming lake (a big hit with older kids) and a lake-side beach for the digging-loving little ones.

On the farm, there’s plenty to explore: a grass tennis court, hammocks, swings, woods, trails and space to just run free. We also host seasonal family activities like Easter egg hunts and nature-spotting trails. In the warmer months, our pizza nights are a favourite with guests of all ages (grown-ups included).

Off the farm, the fun continues, with fossil-hunting beaches, woodland walks, local markets, ice cream stops and countryside adventures in every direction. If you need help planning a day out, we’re always happy to point you to our favourite family-friendly spots.

And when the day’s done? Toast marshmallows by the fire, pile into bed, and fall asleep under the stars.
